Kayaking & Canoeing is located in the charming Llanelli town in Carmarthenshire .
Kayaking & Canoeing is Starting up a Satuerday morning lessons, from a novice up to 3 star training standerds from 11 am to
1 pm every saturday from the 17/05/2008 and if you get at a good standerd we will go on sum trip
we meet ervery Saturday morning starts at 11am and finish about 1pm cost is £ 5 pounds per hour phone or e-mail me to confurm
Come and learn an exciting range of fantastic outdoor activities including Kayaking, Canoeing and Archery all with a qualified and experienced instructor. Kayaking and Canoeing is available from a novice level to a two star level and Archery is available from a complete novice up until a high standards.
Kayaking & Canoeing courses run from on hour to half a day and one day . The company runs a self-rescue to improve your safty on the water. Kayaking runs in the Llanelli and gower & the neath canals,with an introduction into the art of paddling a one person Kayak. Canoeing is available in courses from a solo to a tandem and up to a three person Canoe

Canoeing Safety Test
The canoe safety test has two purposes. Firstly, to provide a paddler with the necessary safety awareness which will ensure the safety of themselves and others. Secondly, to provide a paddler with rescue skills used to help themselves and/or others in difficulty. This is not a white water based test and if the paddler wishes to paddle whitewater then it is advisable to attend a white water safety and rescue course.
The test is valid for 3 years from the date of the test.
Pre Requisites
Hold the BCU/WCA 2 Star Test for the craft the candidate is paddling.
Be able to swim 50m in normal canoeing clothing for the prevailing conditions, including a buoyancy aid if normally worn.
A First Aid certificate is not a pre requisite. However, the holding of a First Aid certificate is advisable.
Be at least 14 years of age. (The Junior Canoeing Safety Test is award for those under 14 years of age.)

Bell Boat Prices:
Per boat - £ 35.00
Price includes watersports coach, waterproof clothing and protective equipment such as bouyancy aid and protective helmet. This activity is suitable for those aged 8 years +.
Party Guidelines:
Please inform the party host if your child suffers from any medical condition i.e if your child suffers from asthma, ensure they notify staff and carry their inhaler.

History of the bellboat
Designed by Olympic Canoe Coach David Train, the Bell Boat is a totally unique design in watercraft, its purpose is to remove the fear of taking part and to help with team work and co-operation. The veracity of the Bell Boat holds no bounds, it is a long lasting robust platform for introducing all ages to water sports as well as a classroom on the water.
There are now at least 160 Bell Boats being used by activity centres, youth groups and schools for introducing thousands of people to water sports and encouraging them to work as a team.
The Bell Boat also has an important part to play in the corporate world for management and team development.

Raft building
Raft building is a good team building activity and fun to build and to see if it stays together on the water as you paddle the Raft
Split into teams you'll be given only the bare essentials: barrels, poles and rope, with which, in a limited amount of time you have to build your raft!
This activity requires creativity, initiative and teamwork. Then comes the big crunch... is it going to float?
Is it going to stay in one piece?
And is going to get you safely down the river?!
Are we watching a rerun of Papillon here, or is it Titanic II? Metaphorically you're in hot water, but fortunately for you it ain't deep, so this is perfectly safe but brilliantly funny nonetheless.
Raft building is a great team building event, guaranteed to separate the floaters from the lead balloons! Which of your friends and colleagues would you rather be marooned with?!
A great session is guaranteed, ideal for large groups of adult and children alike. Once equipped with buoyancy aids, helmets and paddles, teams are given a short time to design their raft. A selection of materials are at hand, plastic barrels, long poles, short poles and not forgetting the all important rope.
For your safety life jackets & Helmets must be worn whilst you are on your craft.
